I have to believe it was on purpose. Wouldn't be surprised if there is a corrected version released at a later date.
Not the first time, not even the 100th.

Doesn't seem to be an intentional "error variation."
Good job Topps/Fanatics. I would blame it all on Fanatics, but when you put a dead guy (Ken Hubbs) on someone else's baseball card 2 years after his death (1966 Dick Ellsworth) that's just carrying on tradition.
