Good Job Topps. 2024 Heritage wrong player shown.
Brand new 2024 Heritage release. Shows Herzog not Red (and no, Whiteys card doesn't show Red)
What I don't understand is how did they mix him up with Whitey when Whiteys card is him in a KC uni!? I could see if they mixed the two up with similar images and both using cardinal photos. But nope.. So the question is how was an image of Whitey used when his card is correct and a different team shown. If the designers or whoever makes the cards looks up Red there is no way Whitey would show up in the results. So I'm puzzled as to how this happened. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a93afc7139.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...8a2cc6b750.jpg |
Looks like some colorblind Topps employee got their color nicknamed Cardinals managers mixed up.

I recently corresponded with several Topps employees about this year's Heritage set, and I was surprised how little any of them knew about anything related to the company's cards. A month ago, I couldn't get a single one of the them to confirm there would even be a Heritage set this year, so perhaps the whole thing was thrown together at the last minute.

It's not baseball, but here's another foul-up in the set:
The card shows only the Soyuz spacecraft, with Apollo no where to be found. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/Ux0AA...mD/s-l1600.jpg https://www.nasa.gov/wp-content/uplo...ect.jpg?w=1536 Steve |

Seems like they are in shambles right now. |
I have to believe it was on purpose. Wouldn't be surprised if there is a corrected version released at a later date.
Not the first time, not even the 100th. |
Doesn't seem to be an intentional "error variation."
Good job Topps/Fanatics. I would blame it all on Fanatics, but when you put a dead guy (Ken Hubbs) on someone else's baseball card 2 years after his death (1966 Dick Ellsworth) that's just carrying on tradition. |
