This is a pin a couple years ago my buddy found in a tool box in his grandfather's garage. I sold it for him, but any clue what value should be?

This one sold for $1.500 but it's a little better condition. https://www.hakes.com/Auction/ItemDe...ROM-THIS-EVENT

New arrival!

1969 Kelly’s Potato Chips pinback button of Mickey Lolich, Tigers. This is from a small, 20 button set featuring mostly players from Midwest teams.

Picked up this pin. I haven't seen one before but I'm assuming that it's related to Maris in 61. I'd appreciate any information about scarcity or value and confirmation that it's Maris related. Thanks in advance!!

It is related to the Mantle Maris pursuit of 61 home runs. It is also very scarce. I would not want to venture a guess on value but it should do well.

Thank you!! I appreciate the information. I pretty much figured that it was related to Mantle/Maris but I just wanted to make sure. I tried to look it up but I can't find one that sold anywhere.

How big is that pin? What type of pin is on the back? The “you could poke your eye out” type?

I can't find my ruler, but it's small. Probably about an inch or inch and a quarter.

Thanks. In your second picture (the back), is that a Union/maker’s mark on the curl or did the paint wear off?

Where was Kelly's located? Is the company still in business?

From the interwebs:

Kelly's was a potato chip and snack food manufacturer located in Decatur, Illinois. It closed in 1996 due to financial difficulties.

Hmmmm. I guess I should have checked further down the page from the Kelly's Potato Chips of Austria.
