One of my first favorite players. I remember being shocked how he had such a good winning percentage year after year. I didn't quite understand how most or many of the other Reds had "All Star" in their card but Gullett didn't.
My friend and I who collected as kids always called him, "The Worried Look". Has anyone here ever met him? I always meant to find him online or mail him a note and now it's too late. RIP Don Gullet. |
