That Joe Corbett cabinet is my favorite one of that group. I don’t bid with Goldin.
He was the brother of James J. Corbett and a tremendous talent BUT he had attitude problems and held out for more money after his nice 1897 season. Then, his father (who had been acting strange) murdered his mother and that kept him off the diamond for quite some time but every time he would start playing ball again he was effective) He did eventually get his own baseball card (he has some oversized items) as a 40 year old with San Francisco (PCL) in 1916!
