Whoever won these 1897 Cabinets from Goldin

If you would like to double your final total kindly contact me.

I completely missed these as Goldin has the World's WORST website!

Or maybe I am just a rookie at searching for things

Thanks

I have not registered for their auctions because the website is so horribly designed. With all the money and IT behind them they failed to make it user friendly, imo.

That is strange, given a business doing so well, and now merged with PSA.

That Joe Corbett cabinet is my favorite one of that group. I don’t bid with Goldin.

He was the brother of James J. Corbett and a tremendous talent BUT he had attitude problems and held out for more money after his nice 1897 season. Then, his father (who had been acting strange) murdered his mother and that kept him off the diamond for quite some time but every time he would start playing ball again he was effective)

He did eventually get his own baseball card (he has some oversized items) as a 40 year old with San Francisco (PCL) in 1916!

(Shameless plug, this is my card on ebay but I just wanted to show the card I spoke of)

No, it's not you. I HATE their website search function. It's actually unpleasant to deal with.

No, Dan, it's not just you.

I'm left-handed... I must have whined about lots of stuff over the years, and even now. When maybe I was about to turn 8, Mom sent off in the mail (we're talking before internet, back when you'd mail a check and an order form, wait about 3 1/2 weeks, and then get something) for a pair of left-handed scissors. They were big for my little hands, but the edges of the handles were sloped correctly, instead of digging into my hands.

Their sight wasn't designed to adequately accommodate collectors of vintage ball cards and such, especially not for selective, particular collectors from the 20th century.

The Bill Clarke cabinet is really nice, it would have been an interesting item to pair with my autograph from him.

Saw that to. Definitely looks like Gentleman Jims brother.

What a great looking group of cabinets overall. Yeah, some bargains had there.
