As a Ruth Red Sox collector, of course love the rookie team photo above and photos from the Red Sox Draper & Maynard factory visit. That HR record breaking ticket is also incredible.

There's also a 1916 World Series 3-game ticket which fans would have used to see Ruth's WS pitching debut & historic 14-inning performance. Full disclosure that's my consignment as I found two from the original owner on eBay last year.

Sports Collectors Daily did a recent short article about the tickets too...

I am a little overwhelmed by the number and quality of auctions this summer. There are some really great cards changing hands.

Just as one example, 31 T206 Cobbs in REA.

Weird that everyone is selling but we all know that prices on the Cobbs have to keep going up.

Zero risk. Defies logic.

It's only stuff, but can translate into 1s and 0s that are accepted anywhere. My worry would have been if I passed away or needed to sell, the market wouldn't have cooperated. It's one less worry for myself and my family with the bulk of it sold.
Collector's are likely selling into strength. Is this a top? Who knows. Consumer credit card debt just hit 1 trillion dollars! This was interesting "affluent families carrying $8K in debt still have some dry powder". This is not going to end well.

Yes, that goes without saying. As well as any card I might have interest in.

The number of rare Ruth's on that first page is ridiculous.

I just got the paper catalog for LOTG today, and discovered a unique problem.

The smell of the ink and paper is too strong; I can't turn the pages without the smell affecting my breathing. This is the first time I've ever had this problem, although many times, I don't even look at the paper catalogs for any of the auction houses, as I rely on the website listings.

I love LOTG, but I’ve never been able to get them to stop sending me a paper catalogue, despite several email requests. I just received mine again. I may not even bother to open it if it’s just going to stink up my house.

Me personally I know longer look at the catalogs( even though many enjoy it) and I have tried stopping them from several auction houses and no luck.
In some ways it makes no sense as often I get the catalogs after the auction is open
It also does not make sense that many the catalogs are not always grouped or organized (I am sure they try but as they keep getting submitted cards that they add to the auction) but online I least I can sort or search.
