Randy this is actually very rare, the way “Yankee Stadium” is written. Very cool!

Nice pennant. I think that layout of the "New York Yankees" text dates it to the 1930s.

I don’t know about the way Yankee Stadium is written but I can tell you that graphic was used for a ton of teams from the 1930s through the 1950s. I have six different versions of just the NY Giants, and know of others.

These took a few weeks to get here, but I'm excited to get them. I saw the Mays first and was rather skeptical that it was real, as opposed to some kind of fantasy piece (with Mays wearing #36). Then I saw the Roy Sievers and figured that it was unlikely that somebody was out there faking stuff for Sievers. So I bought them. Sievers SABR page has one sentence saying that he headlined a team with Willie Mays that traveled to Mexico in 1958 (if anybody knows anything else about this team/tour/games I'd love to hear it, especially if Mays wore #36). I haven't been able to find anything else.

I was able to get the first Mays and the Sievers, but somebody else had already bought the Mays with the MLB team logos. They are about 10 inches long. I think they have a great mid-century look.
