Oh gosh, that is horrible.
I don't know what to say other than I am gutted. Worked with him over the years and enjoyed the friendship of he and his wife. |

I always liked his auctions, never got to meet Joe.
Very sad. John |

Bought many cards from Joe through the years through Joe's Vintage Sports Cards. I did finally meet him at one of the Nationals.
He had a big presence on eBay, and I suspect the emergence of PWCC may have had a big impact on his eBay business as he faded from the spotlight. Rest in peace Joe! Patrick Last edited by Vintagecatcher; 06-01-2023 at 09:47 AM. |

Joe was a fantastic guy and a fixture at the National and regional IL, OH, KY, IN, TN shows that I can remember for the last 20-25 years. Maybe longer. As others have said, he had an encyclopedic knowledge of cards. RIP Joe and prayers to his family.....

Sad to here. Joe was a good guy and we did several deals years ago when I was part of another message board he was on. Was he still living in Florida?

This is a total shock to me. Joe and Tim formed Joe's Vintage Sportscards for a number of years. Joe loved his beer and enjoyed the best things in life. He will be missed by all the dealers that respected him, including me.

Ahh...I didn't know that. I hadn't really had much interaction with Joe since I left LTS six or so years ago. He was a fun guy and at one time had a great personal collection as well.
Hope you're doing well, Jay. |
