Joe was a terrific guy and I always cherished our conversations at the National. I did lots of deals with him when he ran his auction house and always looked forward to his new offerings.
He was a wonderful, down-to-earth and genuine man who will be missed by those of us who knew him. RIP, Joe. Mike

The National was his one show/year the past handful of years, but during the 1990s/2000s, he was all over the Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania part of the show circuit. Saying that he "touched a lot of cards" is an accurate way to put it. Through that volume and his aptitude, he became one of the most incredibly knowledgeable people on cards that you'd ever meet. |
