This card is actually special to me. When I was 12 years old in 1982 I had picked this card out of a Becket price guide and requested it at our local card shop. The card shop was an hour drive away, which back then made it pretty much inaccessible...so visits there were rare. I wanted an OLD card and I wanted something from an OLD team...the shop had the card and at school I was a hero for having something from 1954! I don't remember what I paid, but I do remember it took most of my budget that day. Through the years I never would get rid of this card...and it sits in my set today. Cards have come and gone...not this one. And won't. Was looking forward to posting it!

Career was 69 games with 155 ABs and .187 average. But he did have a cool variation in the 55 set

Lucky guy...Dick got a World Series ring as a rookie for the Yankees in 1949 before being traded away after the season...
