Ok...apologies I trailed off on the 53 thread...I missed sharing some cool cards. Life got in the way as it often does. Excited to see the 54 Topps next as I do have the 54 set, but not the 53 Bowmans...was hoping to get back in the swing of things! I love the 54s...and am proud of most of my 54 set. Could use a few upgrades...

James E. "Pete" Runnels. Infielder with the Washington Senators in 1951-1957. 1,854 hits and 49 home runs in 14 MLB seasons. 5-time All-Star. 2-time AL batting champion (1960 and 1962). Career OBP of .375. In 1958 for the Boston Red Sox, he posted an OBP of .416 with 103 runs scored in 666 plate appearances. Holds a tie for the MLB record for the most hits in a double header. Managed the Boston Red Sox in 1966. Member of the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame. Finished his playing career with the Houston Colt .45's in 1964.
