It may not be special to some of you high rollers but I picked this up at the Dallas show last weekend and I’m damn proud to own it!

Not being ghoulish, but the memorial stripe was what sold me. Not crazy about the "B" written on the cap or paper loss at neck.

Was finally able to land a Dummy Hoy card after years of searching for a semi affordable one (!!!).

Saw that and was watching it on Ebay. Congrats, nice pickup of a card for a long sought after player.

Was a bit surprised at the final price as well, given the condition of that WG1 playing card. Makes you wonder where it would have ended up if the card was all there. Still a very tough and extremely rare issue you never seem to find for sale/auction.

Thanks Bob, I am pretty excited about it. Hard to know what a card this heavily trimmed is "supposed" to cost. I have seen a few Old Judge Hoys for sale here and there but they have all been in great condition and quite expensive. I figured I wasn't likely to get a better shot at owning a Hoy or a WG1 in any condition, so I just went for it. Will now try to learn more here and elsewhere about this strange set....
