I think he's done for good this time. I'm sure there will be some rumor mill gossip about his possibly coming back but I don't believe he will.
No clue on the last ball value. My guess is, if it went up for auction/sale in the very near future, people would hesitate or think twice about spending a lot of money for it due to uncertainty of Brady staying retired. In regards to whether or not he should have unretired, eh, I don't have any thoughts on that really. For whatever reason, he did what was best for him.
