Remember the hoopla about Brady's last post season TD ball. Huge sale, sale rescinded after much publicity and news articles, then relisted and sold this year a second time by Lelands. I posted that I thought buying that ball was a decent speculative stab in that (a) Brady's personal life was publicy falling apart and he could walk away again before the season ended (b) it was unclear how good Tampa was. I said they might not even make the playoffs.
Well, they made the playoffs. Barely. And then were eliminated by Dallas, and Brady threw two TDs. So that ball is now officially the third last TD pass of Brady's career. Prob not worth what it was sold for. Believe the last time it was sold for about $75,000. Third last TD pass doesn't seem to have a lot of cache. Last edited by Snapolit1; 02-02-2023 at 08:56 AM. |

You might be right, but I'm guessing those last two balls weren't thrown into the stands. I'd wonder how many Brady TD balls are actually available to the general public. Most aren't like HR balls, where they tend to end up in the crowd. I think I've said it before, but if a Brady football card can sell for a million+, I don't see whey ANY TD football with rock solid provenance from him, shouldn't eclipse that. |

Brady already has a Fox Sports broadcasting deal for 10 years and $375 million, he is officially done. I don't think there will be any serious rumors at all.
I did hear that Kraft offered him a one-day contract so he can retire a Pat, I would not be very surprised if he did that.

Saw an article that said the last 2 were NOT thrown into the stands. That doesn't mean they aren't in the hands of someone who might want to sell someday.

Coming in 2033 Topps, The Brady retirement inserts! A set of 10, each highlighting a different retirement. And two special numbered versions "Materials" with an encapsulated newspaper headline portion from that years announcement numbered to 100, and a special 1/1 version with year date holofoil and an on the headline signature!
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm sort of hoping he could pull off a Clemens esque thing where he signs mid season with a team that has a shot at the playoffs but either lost their qb or didn't really have a good one. For like the next several years... |
