I wanted to add, I don't think this style ticket (1904-early teens) was in use prior to 1904. See this from the The Philadelphia Inquirer, April 21, 1904:

Great information, thanks to all who've shared/posted in the thread!

I believe I have one of the Phillies tickets from this collection from a pre-season exhibition game in 1907.

Scott,
You may want to consider that your exhibition Phillies ticket may originate from a different patron.
The info and date written info seem to be scrawled by a different hand IMHO. Cursive writing vs. block printing, different slant etc.

Hi Scott,

After seeing your comment and looking a bit more closely at my ticket, I believe you are correct that the handwriting appears to be different and likely originated from a different collection.

Didn't matter to me either way. It just looked familiar when I saw the initial post and thought my example looked similar.

Great info, thanks everyone for sharing!

Picked these up a while ago on the b/s/t. Looks like the 1908 comes from the same collection you guys have posted. The 2nd is in cursive, like Scott's example.

Default 1903 to 1915 Philadelphia Athletics tickets

A buddy of mine collects Cy Young tickets, and has a 1903, which confirms the news article in Post #6 from Ray (Thanks Ray). Even if you do not believe the date written, it is definitely a 1901 to 1903 A's ticket given the Address & Manager.

Also, adding an example of a Upper Pavilion ticket. Note the added "Exchange - 25c." This ticket happens to be from a game that saw three of the early great pitchers: Chief Bender, Addie Joss & Cy Young

Looks like by 1915, the ticket style changed here: https://www.worthpoint.com/worthoped...ibe-1843036626

Also noticed, is that in 1911 they outside edges were clipped.

What would be great is if someone had a 1912 & a 1914 to show. A few other examples would also be great, especially if there is some variation to what has already been shown.
