Chuck, that's a great memory to have with your Grandfather, thanks for sharing.

Scott, nice 53 Topps. I have one, worn, not signed; that's my favorite Mays card.

Bowman would get exclusive contracts with some players. Musial comes to mind. Why isn't Stan in the 1951, 1952, or 1953,4,5,6,7 Topps? Because of his exclusive contract with Bowman.

and another pair from my most favorite set - Appears that really nicely centered Mays 55's are tuff to find - I'm guessin had something to do with the location on the uncut sheet?

Have to get around to uploading them, but my first Mays, was a 1957 Topps. Great image on that card, I still have it in my collection. My favorite would probably be my 53 Topps card of his. Still remember buying it on my first trip up at Cooperstown. Probably overpaid a little bit but I didn't care.

Love the '55 set design. And the Mays is just a joy to look at. Beautiful card.
