The single most ridiculous sale, was the ugliest card ever made
The 1994 upper deck mantle/Griffey dual signed insert. They are usually around 2k. Sold for $11,400

Agreed. The Mantle/Griffey Jr dual signed UD card sold for a ton.

I believe some examples of this card have been rumored to be forgeries.

I don't know who does the T206 write ups for them but they should stop using highest graded or only PSA graded example in their descriptions if they aren't going to take a few minutes and do some research.

In the Magee portrait Old Mill description it says it's the only PSA graded example when there are at least two others.

Definitely could have gone higher on some cards but it just did not make sense
Heritage prices went crazy!

I had my eye on five for sure that I knew I would be able to get but when the bids kept going up well beyond what I thought they should have I passed

With all the auctions taking place each month a lot of these same cards will show up again later this year or next and I will be able to get them then...at least thats what I'm hoping

I mean there are no cards I want that I could theoretically afford to win…but only if I bid more than I had mentally budgeted. So, I either spend way more than I planned to or I don’t win the card....either way I am not happy when the auction ends. Whereas if there's nothing I want, there's no disappointment.

And, yes, I also won nothing in the last Heritage auction despite putting in bids that were 25-30% more than I had planned to bid.
I feel the same way.
