Absolutely! Ted was the only constant member of the group from start to finish. Didn't know Meat Loaf was the singer till I heard about it years later. The Amboy Dukes were actually filling in for David Blue, who was originally supposed to perform, but ended up elsewhere I guess, so the Amboy Dukes were a late fill-in, and apparently they had Meat Loaf covering vocals. I believe later on Nugent's first solo album, Free For All, Meat Loaf was actually the lead vocalist on over half the album as well. So he definitely had a Ted Nugent connection.

I loved 'Paradise by the Dashboard Lights'! How many new Rizzuto fans sprung from that masterpiece.
Reports say it was COVID. I had a hip-replacement surgery scheduled for yesterday, got cancelled on Wednesday due to the virus. No. I don't have it...I'm fully vaccinated including the booster. Get vaccinated people!! . .

He came a LONG way from his debut collaboration Motown album in 1971.

I believe they performed on stage together in the West coast version of Hair.

Growing up, I wasn't really a fan as my musical tastes were different at the time. But, as I was driving home yesterday, they had a brief biography of Meatloaf on Sirius/XM. I heard for the first time that he was in the stage production of Hair and it all suddenly clicked for me. I can't *not* hear that influence in his recorded music now.
