Rick: Definitely a vintage Spalding baseball, but I am pretty sure it is not an official NL baseball. Probably a lower grade Spalding League ball.

Sweater Pictures
I added some more pictures of the sweater. The owner graduated from Mt Horeb HS in 1950, and that accounts for the 50 on the sleeve. You can see a few small moth holes in the back.
Pictures of the shorts, pants, and shirt are in the next couple of posts.
