I need some help with an old baseball and a uniform

Hello, a couple of days ago, I was looking at a non-sport collection from a nice lady. We came to an agreement on a price, and as I was leaving she said "I also have an old baseball that you might want to look at.
It has a lot of toning and wear. I don't know anything about vintage baseballs, so I was researching it, and it seems that it may be (maybe) a John Heydler Spaulding ball from 1928 to 1933. Can anyone confirm whether or not I am correct, because I really don't know. I would also like a rough estimate of the value, if any. The ball also has an autograph. I didn't have a loupe with me and I will have to go back and check it more thoroughly. This lady seems to be struggling financially, and I overpaid for the non sports cards just to help her out. I would love to be able to buy the ball from her to help her out. Please excuse my crappy pictures. She also has a baseball uniform that belonged to her dad, who played on a high school team in the 1940's. It is a beautiful, heavy sweater, a jersey, a pair of pants, and a pair of boxer shorts. Again, I will have to go back to get some better photos. Thanks, Rick |
I would be interested in the sweater

Rick: Definitely a vintage Spalding baseball, but I am pretty sure it is not an official NL baseball. Probably a lower grade Spalding League ball.

Thanks

I added some more pictures of the sweater. The owner graduated from Mt Horeb HS in 1950, and that accounts for the 50 on the sleeve. You can see a few small moth holes in the back.
Pictures of the shorts, pants, and shirt are in the next couple of posts. |
