Love this thread. Wanted to complete a pre-war framing project and had to decide on a set quartet to do it. Settled on Diamond Stars out of sheer beauty. Did Ott, Hornsby, Greenberg and Grove. Glad I’m not the only one sucked in by these cool cards. Will try to post pics later.

Default It's DIAMOND STARS time.....so show us your pretty Art Deco gems

Wonderful...... we now have posted 70 different DIAMOND STARS subjects of the 96 featured in this set. Let's see if we can complete the set with the
remaining 26 to go. And, by all means, display the Hi#s (#97 - 108). So far, just 5 of them have been posted.

Furthermore, if we really want to go "crazy", we could include all the possible 1934 - 1936 variations and complete a Master set of approx. 174 cards.

Default I think this completes the Senator delegation

Oswald L. "Ossie" Bluege. Third baseman for the Washington Senators in 1922-1939. 1,751 hits and 43 home runs in 18 MLB seasons. 1935 All-Star. 1924 World Series champion. He played his entire career in Washington. He was best known for his defense, but his best season at the plate was 1928 as he posted a .364 OBP with 78 runs scored and 75 RBI's in 588 plate appearances. He managed the Washington Senators in 1943-1947.

William Clifton "Cliff" Bolton. Catcher for the Washington Senators in 1931, 1933-1936, and 1941. 280 hits and 6 home runs over 7 MLB Seasons. His best season was 1935 as he posted a .399 OBP with 55 RBI's in 435 plate appearances.
