As they planned the 1974 set, I imagine the conversation in the Topps art department went something like this...
"We've pictured Hammerin' Hank from every conceivable angle over his career, so what can we possibly do differently, people?" "Boss, I've got it!!!!!!! Let's basically show the back of his head!!!!!" Pointing Forward Ford
Least favorite pose: any card showing Whitey Ford pointing forward in his look-I-just-threw-a-pitch pose (e.g., Topps ‘57, ‘62, ‘64, ‘66, ‘67). One of the all time great pitchers, but one of the all time crappiest poses.
