I got this one last year at the tri-Star show for 440.00 after some negotiation.
It might be a little over graded but the price was right.

im looking at cards on fleabay and many/most cards suggested can not really be found for 1000 or less anymore.

It is what it is, unfortunately. Ty Cobb is a big name as we all know and I picked the wrong time to want one of his cards! I'm going the saving up route, I think. Rather save to get a card I really want then settle for something less.

I would think you could pick up a lower grade though still presentable 1927 for under a grand.

The cards that are still up for sale are there because they're at the higher end of acceptable prices. Go through 130point results to see what accepted offers were. Flip through threads on B/S/T here.
Ebay alerts are going to be your best friend when it comes to jumping on a well priced card. It's waiting game, but there are always deals to be had out there.
