These 5 cards which I have displayed in Post #36 are my original 1952 TOPPS which were in a 5-cent waxpack that I acquired 68 years ago this month.
It was the very last pack of 1952 TOPPS cards I purchased.....and, that's probably why I remember it so well.

I purchased the wrapper in 1981 at the Willow Grove Show here in Pennsylvania.

I need 29 mid-series Gray backs to complete my 1952 TOPPS master set (approx. 555 cards).

Ted, I assume u have handled those 5 cards quite a bit correct? or they really came out with such "round corners" from the pack??

Ted, I apologize if my question was inappropriate. I am fairly "young", the oldest wax packs that I have opened were 1990 Donruss. I really not sure how those printers/cutters treated those pre-war cards after cutting them. If they kept them in piles i would assume most of the cards should have shape corners, if they just got threw into huge buckets and waited for wrapping then I would think they do get corners dents and all that. I also assume all these wax packs were being packed by hands and not machine, correct? .....i don't know.

Whether you were a Yankees fan or not, when Mickey Mantle came to bat in the 1950's - 1960's, you had a sense of excitement. Was he going to hit a tremendous 500 - 600 ft. HR ?
You had to see him play to appreciate this phenomena. I did see him play, both on TV or at Yankee Stadium. And yes, my Mantle cards (from the 1950's) show lots of love-and-wear.

Post war 1951 Bowman box . I don’t think I need to add why for this one.
