Hi Everybody!

First off, I am so excited to see all the super-rare and cool cards you folks pickup-ed this month.

After a couple decades off - I returned to the hobby this month. I hoped to find a set that I could afford that also had some aesthetics I that I could dig. When I saw the Diamond Stars R327 cards - they seemed like the perfect place for me to start my prewar collection.

I did a bit of inertent sleuthing, and decided that I should bid on a couple so I could see what they look like - although I generally prefer to be a bit more educated and look in person.

The cards seem authentic and mostly as pictured online (Sam Rice has some possible hairline creasing on his right chin and possible discoloration in the yellow window to his left that I couldn't see online and can barely see with my naked eye, Bill Terry has some glue residue on top and obvious flaws).

So - any critiques or armchair grades based on these images would be awesome, and educational. Any tips on how i'm a dummy or where to post noob question are appreciated - message me if posting here would take this thread off-topic.

My main concern is flat-out overpaying and its always tough to gauge "the market" based on a week of Ebay watching.

Small risks are always fun to take and overall I am super happy with my start.

Thanks, again - you probably get a new one of these guys like me every week.
