It definitely was a weird auction. For several hours we had only a few calls and then it was all out chaos in extended bidding. Usually, with the 30 minute/lot rule, we are done with the auction around 1 A.M. EST. However, bidding didn't end until around 4 A.M. EST. We have done very well with ungraded sets over the past several auctions and it appears prices were especially strong this go around. Don't know if such prices are the "new normal" or if this is due to COVID demand. Regardless, appreciate all of the bids and thankful that we made it through without any software issues as volume was very high!
James Edited to add: We have developed a loyal core of ungraded set consignors/buyers. I personally handle and write all of those sets and tend to be conservative with my grading. Last edited by Orioles1954; 05-30-2020 at 10:02 AM.
