On first glance I was thinking Eppa Rixey, but that wouldn't be correct because Rixey threw left handed. What does the back of the photograph say?

Photo was initially labeled as Ray Fisher. Someone later amended the description. I am leaning toward "not Fisher".

I'm leaning against Jimmy Ring, although he does have a long face, so it's possible. But here is a side profile of Ring, and it's just not the same. How about Dolf Luque?

Regardless, The face is long, so we can rule out many people with rounder faces.

I can tell you who it's not:
Edd Roush
Ray Fisher
Slim Sallee
Heinie Groh
Dutch Ruether

Pretty sure it’s not Dolf - he had a more sharp featured face

Im thinking it could be Ray Fisher and it was correctly labeled. Here is a picture of Fisher with Dickie Kerr during the 1919 WS

I agree. No way it's Rixey, and think it is most likely Fisher.

I was convinced it was Mitchell. Of course, now I think it looks like Fisher. I had previously looked at the shot with Kerr and it didn’t jump out at me that the player in my photo was definitively Fisher. Maybe he wrote the correct name in the back after all? If someone had not written “not Fisher”, then I would not have doubted it.
