I don't think this is having the intended effect. I think buyers of individual cards are turned off by the possibility of wasting their time. It's good marketing to attract a consignor, but I think an honest to goodness set break is still the path to better money.

I agree with this 100%. I no longer bid in these types of auctions and know of other collectors who feel the same way.
