Such fun! These fictional sports stories are so integral to our fandom it is nice to see them translated into collecting. I'd love to do the same w/my favorite movie as a kid, The Bad News Bears, but I read that the guy who played Tanner Boyle wants nothing to do with it and won't sign anything. At least there are some licensed cards out there:
 Another all-time favorite of mine is Slap Shot and there are actual cards for the Hanson Brothers from a later set, signed, so i had to get them:

GREAT STUFF!
I think I have issues though. Reading this I can't help but think how cool it would be to take a Babe Ruth signed ball and have it signed by James Earl Jones and the guy that played Smalls in The Sandlot.
