Major League (The Movie) Baseball
6 Attachment(s)
I thought some of you guys might enjoy seeing this. A few years ago, a friend went to a charity event where Tom Berenger was appearing and had him sign a baseball for me as a gift. Shortly after that, Wesley Snipes was doing a book signing at a Barnes and Nobles near me, so I figured I’d bring the baseball and give it a shot. To my surprise, he was more than happy to sign it. After that, I brought it to a show that Corbin Bersen was appearing at to add him too. I then found an address for Chelcie Ross and sent him a letter asking him to sign the ball, which he was more than happy to do. Finally, last weekend, Charlie Sheen signed the ball.
Pretty cool! Now I just need to track down Dennis Haysbert. |

Love it - that's a favorite movie of mine, and probably a unique ball you've got!
Let me know if you are able to track down Haysbert - I've been seeking him out for a bit as well. I have a 'game' used uniform from Major League 2 that I'd love to get signed at some point..... |
That is so cool, especially getting Chelcie Ross. I love the scene where he's showing Charlie Sheen all the illegal substances he uses on the ball, but this is my favorite scene.

As a huge Major League fan, I have to say this is awesome!

Such fun! These fictional sports stories are so integral to our fandom it is nice to see them translated into collecting. I'd love to do the same w/my favorite movie as a kid, The Bad News Bears, but I read that the guy who played Tanner Boyle wants nothing to do with it and won't sign anything. At least there are some licensed cards out there:

GREAT STUFF!
I think I have issues though. Reading this I can't help but think how cool it would be to take a Babe Ruth signed ball and have it signed by James Earl Jones and the guy that played Smalls in The Sandlot. |

Major League
Great idea for a ball, I love it! My closest match is an 8x11 signed glossy
signed by the "Hansen Brothers" from Slap Shot. My dad and brother went to a sports bar in Columbus, Ohio and didn't even know the guys were there signing... I think they paid $10 because they knew I'd like the idea. It is signed by the guys with the caption "Old time hockey":) Trent King |
