While it's great that you are asking questions before you buy, if they're asking an amount that makes you feel like you need to ask questions before you buy, they're asking too much.
$10 is the absolute top of what you should even consider paying.

The Saluting Man stamp has been seen before (as has been posted) but I don't see it that often. Agreed that it isn't associated with any specific collector and is a generic stamp. It's interesting that the three shown here are all on Old Mill backs which leads me to think they are all from the same person, but who they are is anyone's guess. I'll add this new one to the project website with the others.

Definitely seems like it was the same person doing the stamping---has the "saluting man" been seen on any other Brand? Scott--I haven't been asked for a price, but was prepared to offer $10 at the most! I wasn't sure if being Old Mill made it worth "hundreds" or not!  Thanks again, Gents, for the very helpful info. I'm glad I posted if it is going to help the "project"!
