A board member has previously posted a scan of a black and white "1952 Bowman Proof" of Harry Brecheen. He has stated, and it sure looks like, it's a 1953 Bowman instead.

Entirely possible, although looking at the image of Brecheen, there is a patch on his left sleeve which is missing from all the other Cardinals' uniforms in the '53 set. My understanding is that most of the photographs from the set were taken the previous season at either Yankee Stadium or the Polo Grounds (likely the photographer or photographers were New York-based and simply showed up before games whenever a contracted team was in town). This doesn't mean the Brecheen card wasn't in contention though, because there are plenty of cards in the set that weren't taken during these NYC photo sessions, in particular shots that were from Spring Training.
