Picked up another one of these cool 1971 Topps Greatest Moments cards (and a HOF'er to boot)...

A tough card for my 52 Topps collection.
Spider wrinkle lower left that is more pronounced in the scan but it was at a price I couldn't refuse.

Recent REA pick ups. The proof joins my set, the Stargell will remain a loner as I decided that set is beyond me

Was out of town on business this week, and found a cool little card shop there. The guy gave me some very reasonable prices. The Mantle is really freaking nice, sharper corners than this pic reveals. The Aaron and Williams are a bit rough surface wise, but no wrinkles and nice color on both, and the price was right.
![]() ![]() When I was a kid, I was waiting in line at a card show to get Alan Trammell's autograph, and Dave Winfield walked by me. He literally brushed me aside to cut across the line, and I just looked up and stared. To this day, I have never seen such a huge and impressive man. He was like a Greek god. I'll never forget that, and it's cool to finally have his rookie card. |

What's strange about it, Lou, is that the photograph is an optical illusion. We all know that Bunning was always a thin man on the mound, but because of the billowing shirt and the stands in the background sorta morphing into his waist area, he truly appears to be an overweight middle aged man!!
