Up for your consideration is a high grade example of one of the most coveted porcelain figural banks on the market. This beautiful 7 inch tall Brooklyn Dodgers World Champs bank was produced by Gibbs-Connor & Co in the 1950's.
These banks do not find their way into the market often, and when they do they sell fast! Gibbs-Conner was a small manufacturer of porcelain products located in Cleveland Ohio. Although it was not their main source of income, in the late 40's/early 50's Gibbs-Conner produced several porcelain banks with the likeness of the Cleveland Indians mascot- Chief Wahoo. Their work rivaled that of their main competitor, Stanford Pottery (also based in the Cleveland area), although their workmanship has always been considered a touch below in quality. As far as we can tell, Gibbs-Conner closed their doors for business in the late 50's. The original banks were not produced in large quantities and are still very popular among figural collectors. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Up for your consideration is a high grade example of one of the most coveted porcelain figural banks on the market. It is rare to see these Rawlings thermometers make their way onto the market, and when they do they either do not work properly, or have a major cosmetic flaw. Up for your consideration is an extraordinary and extremely rare Rawlings retail cardboard display, issued in promotion of the company's Mickey Mantle model "MM" fielder's glove. Please note that we have only seen one other example of this sign, and it sold at Robert Edward Auctions in 2012 for almost $4000 (see photo #6). This sign has been cut down by the original owner removing the part of the sign that showed off the glove. They kept the best part of the sign however as this features a photo of Mantle in uniform. The illustrated plaque below Mantle's image makes note of his 1956 Triple Crown Season and reads "Mickey Mantle - 'Player of The Year' 1956." Mantle was the king of the baseball world following his memorable 1956 season, which included yet another New York Yankees World Championship, and Rawlings obviously sought to capitalize on his popularity. The size of this sign was sure to catch the eye of anyone passing by, and Mantle's personal endorsement stamped in the pocket of the glove was probably more than enough to sway the decision of any red-blooded American boy.
Its visual appeal today is no less impressive, and this piece could serve as the centerpiece to any advanced Mickey Mantle or baseball-advertising collection. The piece displays a number of minor flaws commensurate with its age and former use, including a number of moderate creases, minor surface abrasions, and a few light scratches. While technically in Very Good condition, it still presents exceptionally well, as intended, and its rarity is such that anyone holding out hopes of finding a better example will most likely be disappointed in the long run. This is only the 2nd example we've ever seen! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Up for your consideration is an original 1969 Thermos and Lunchbox by the King-Seeley Thermos Company. This beautiful pairing shows some wear conistent with it's age and intended use. Although it was intended for a child, it is the perfect display piece for the child inside of all of us. About The Company In 1960, the U.S., U.K. and Canadian companies were purchased by the King-Seeley Company to form the King-Seeley Thermos Company. In 1965, King-Seeley Thermos purchased Structo Manufacturing of Freeport, IL, a manufacturer of outdoor cooking grills. Ownership changed hands again in 1968 when King-Seeley Thermos Company became a wholly owned subsidiary of Household Finance Company of Chicago, which later became Household International. That corporation was attempting to diversify outside its consumer finance business and eventually bought and sold companies involved in transportation, retailing and manufacturing. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Up for your consideration is quite possibly the best lot of Jackie Robinson pins to ever hit the market.
We are offering an array of seldom seen Jackie Robinson pinbacks all in one lot. There are a total of 12 rare pins and 2 gumball charms included in this lot. All pins are in exceptional condition and 100% original. Included in this lot is what many people regard as the first Robinson pin to ever hit the market. It shows him wearing a uniform that is attributed to his 1946 Minor League team, the Montreal Royals. This 1.75” pin was made when Robinson was with the Royals and it is extremely rare. Also included are the following pins: 1.25” pin depicting a very youthful looking Robinson. His (first) name is placed in quotation marks. 1.25" pin which states, “I’m Rooting for Jackie Robinson.” 1.75" pin which has the same inscription, but the image is expanded to include a portion of the team name across the jersey. 1.75" pin which was made celebrating Robinson winning the inaugural Rookie of the Year Award in the National League. 1.75" pin featuring a pinstriped uniform from the Kansas City Monarchs when Robinson played with them in 1945. It appears the KC was airbrushed, leaving no team name or logo on either the jersey or the cap. The pin was created by vendors to sell early in the 1947 season before there were photographs of Robinson wearing a Dodger uniform. The team name “Dodgers” was added to the pin, although clearly this is not the uniform of the Brooklyn Dodgers. As such, this pin is not only from Robinson’s rookie year with the Dodgers, it pre-dates his pins wearing a Dodger uniform. 1.75" pin of Jackie Robinson Sitting in the dugout 1.75" pin of Jackie Robinson looking towards his left with streaked gray background. 1.75" pin of Jackie Robinson looking towards his left with a blue backround. 1.75” photo pin of Robinson featuring a yellow background. Based upon his appearance, this pin seems to be from near the end of his career. The contrast between his facial features from his first year in baseball (most notably the dated 1947 Congratulations “Jackie” pin) and this yellow background pin is most evident. 1.125" Robinson pin was one of five Dodgers featured in the 1956 Topps set of 60 (1.125”) pins. 1.75" Brooklyn Dodger Crossed Bat Pin .75" Double sided gumball charm .75" Single sided unique photo gumball charm $3500 |

Up for your consideration is one of the more unique yet affordable pieces on the market.
Circa 1910, It is believed that the figural piece depicted in this cast iron bank is actually Ty Cobb. The resemblance is clear, from the facial features to the split-handed grip. Of course the figure itself appears a little pudgy to be Cobb, but what good is a skinny bank? The piece measures just under 6" high, with a hand-painted cap. The reverse contains a coin slot, as well as a screw that takes the bank apart, enabling the owner to remove the bounty. The figure does exhibit some wear, but displays well. The perfect amount of patina. $125 Up for your consideration is a outstanding “Rookie of the Year” pin featuring the one and only Jack Roosevelt Robinson. The 1.75" pin features a photo of Robinson, the recipient of the first ever Rookie of the Year award, on a white background. A red ring surrounds the outside of the circle, with white text reading “ROOKIE OF THE YEAR 1947 JACKIE ROBINSON”. This is one of the earliest examples of a Robinson pin on the market and one of the toughest pins to aquire. A beautiful example of an exceedingly rare pinback. $255 Up for your consideration is what we consider one of the most overlooked and under-appreciated pieces of sports history on the market today. This is a recruiting pamphlet used by the Brooklyn Dodger Baseball Organization in 1949 to help bring in top talent from around the country. It is our opinion that these now scarce pamphlets were handed out at the time by Dodger scouts at try outs to potential recruits to help convince them to join the organization. The booklet contains some fantastic bullet points such as: Money in the Minors Money in the Majors World Series Dividends along with other amazing perks such as George Sisler hitting instructions and photos of the 1947 NLCS Parade at City Hall in Brooklyn. This is a dream piece at an affordable price. $170
