Some people seem to be missing the point: Cincinnati won the NL and later the World Series while the Tigers won the AL and lost the World Series. Both of those teams should have black bats.
The OP is asking about a Brooklyn Dodgers black bat. The Dodgers did NOT win the NL and did NOT go to the Series so the OP is asking WHY the Dodgers would have a black bat made for them? David
