Very nice cards Tony. Gibson pink ? There are variants of the Wynn card. Nellie in his THINKER pose, Topps finally gets Musial right. Ford in what became a typical pose for them. Great shots of Kaine, Berra ( why did the Cardinals sign Garogiola over Yogi, two local kids),Maris( ultimately a Cardinal although Topps was ambivalent about it ?). Good on of Duke too. And old Bob Clemente. First Topps set I finished and one of my favorites

Thanks everyone. I've sifted through literally thousands of 59's before settling on examples like these that fit. My set consists of all 6's and 6.5's (nothing lower or higher) and eye appeal is king.

Scott thank you and I agree on the Banks. Would not look out of place in a 7 slab, as many of these wouldn't.

Hi Al. Good to hear from you my friend!! Here's more EX-MT beauties. If anyone else has some 59's to share, post away!!!

Love the 59 set! I am building both a raw set & PSA 6 set. Such a beautiful, colorful set.

Hello from Dubai
I’ve always had a problem with the pink on that Gibson card. Yikes!

6's - increasingly like other PSA grades - can be all over the place in my experience, and that includes both in old and new slabs. I have several straight 6's that have very sharp corners, maybe a tad O/C but within the range...and no noticeable surface wear. I scratch my head as to why they weren't at least 7's if not higher. Then I have a few other 6.5's with the same centering and noticeable corner wear. I know there is no computer for accuracy or consistency in grading, but line up a couple of these cards next to each other and it doesn't make sense. Oh well, not to get on another PSA rant...we all know at the end of the day it's simply an "opinion."
