| 1910 T229 Kopec Jack Johnson

Looks like its time to let my baby go. I bought this in a group raw and got it graded; the only one I've seen although there are undoubtedly others. This falls into the class of cards that get priced high at a show so it doesn't sell. Let's see some others! |

Great card. While everything is for sale at the right price, I could cite quite a few from my collection that would not be sold absent an insane offer. Some of them: 1904 Jeffries-Munroe cabinet card by Sporting Life magazine: E80 Jack Johnson that belonged to Jefferson Burdick: Benny Leonard "Flying Fists" die cut. One of two known specimens and the other one has the tab removed: 1938 American Sweets Joe Louis: 1951 Ringside salesman sample with Marciano RC: This one isn't as impressive, but it is rare and I just happen to like it:

Although Kopec cards pop up from time to time, that card can honestly be described as "rarer than rare". |

True. In my case I got a type and breathed a sigh of relief. They do turn up though. I picked up a Kopec Attell on a trade a few years ago at a national.

I suppose this is the most important part of the card so you know it is not a Pet Mouthpiece back instead

Thanks for sharing, very cool card. I’ve only got 1 Kopec myself, Soldier King (what a great name). Would love to a full set one day, but these are awfully tough to track down
