1910 T229 Kopec Jack Johnson
2 Attachment(s)
Looks like its time to let my baby go. :( I bought this in a group raw and got it graded; the only one I've seen although there are undoubtedly others. This falls into the class of cards that get priced high at a show so it doesn't sell. Let's see some others!

Fantastic card to see, John! I wish you the best with it - what a beauty!

Great card.
While everything is for sale at the right price, I could cite quite a few from my collection that would not be sold absent an insane offer. Some of them: 1904 Jeffries-Munroe cabinet card by Sporting Life magazine: http://photos.imageevent.com/exhibit...20cabinet.jpeg E80 Jack Johnson that belonged to Jefferson Burdick: http://photos.imageevent.com/exhibit...ck%20stamp.jpg Benny Leonard "Flying Fists" die cut. One of two known specimens and the other one has the tab removed: http://photos.imageevent.com/exhibit...ng%20Fists.jpg 1938 American Sweets Joe Louis: http://photos.imageevent.com/exhibit...37%20Louis.jpg 1951 Ringside salesman sample with Marciano RC: http://photos.imageevent.com/exhibit...Sample%201.jpg This one isn't as impressive, but it is rare and I just happen to like it: http://photos.imageevent.com/exhibit...omo%20card.jpg |
I want the Frank Gotch Kopec but I just know of one guy that has it and no others.

Although Kopec cards pop up from time to time, that card can honestly be described as "rarer than rare". |
True. In my case I got a type and breathed a sigh of relief. They do turn up though. I picked up a Kopec Attell on a trade a few years ago at a national.

Sending it to PWCC. I'll post when is is scheduled for auction!

I suppose this is the most important part of the card so you know it is not a Pet Mouthpiece back instead
