Awesome ad!
I think Walter "The Great" Mails was trying to get rid of his overstock. It is interesting that the box itself lists Santa Monica, CA (L.A. area) while this ad has an address in El Cerrito, CA (Bay Area). In 1923 & 1924 Mails was playing for Oakland and by 1928 he was with San Francisco, not sure what that means in regards to the address but it seems Mails was a Bay Area native having been born in San Quentin.
