Agree with those cards already mentioned as the outstanding candidates.
As iconic as the '54B is, Ted looks a bit 'frumpy' to me in that card for some reason. If you can find any of these three with good eye appeal, go for it! 41003.jpg 48003.jpg 51003.jpg And despite the lack of color, a nice example of the '40 PB can be surprisingly satisfying as well. Picked up a PSA 6 at the National this past year that just spoke to me. You can't go wrong -- it's Teddy fricking Ballgame!

A "The Great American Bubble Card Flipping, Trading and Bubble Gum Book" reference, nice. I like the 56 Topps design and it is affordable to most who can't spend the bigger bucks for a more key card.
