DVR's can be viewed from your iPhone, etc. You want one that hooks up to your network. These can be hidden anywhere, and then viewed by WIFI.

My neighbor brought a cheap $40 camera and it's amazing what you can see. I have the old fashion 90lbs alarm until your in and may have treats in your burglar bag

Here is my 120lb alarm system with two 85lb failover systems. Primary has scary bark and other two Goldens will love you to death.
