LOL, Lou. You and I were thinking the exact same thing!!

Henry Bemis, alone with his '52 Topps, in a card shop otherwise known as....the Twilight Zone.

A man in a business suit crawls up a hill, through the dust. He spies a crumbled sign that reads "Woolworths" to his right. A little further up the hill, among an assortment of toppled book shelves, some still filled with 3-ring binders and plastic sheets, there are piles of unopened '52 Topps baseball card boxes.

"Collected stacks of Mickey Mantle....stacks of Eddie Matthews, all neatly organized with rubber bands.....Jackie Robinson....Campanella......all the great rookies of the world, all the future Hall of Famers. Baseball cards. Baseball cards! All the cards I want, all the cards I need....all the cards.....ahhhhh!

"Spring training, Opening Day, April......May......June.....July......"

The man sits down, three boxes of '52 Topps wax packs lovingly cradled in his arms.

"And the best thing, the very best thing of all is there's time now, all the time I need, and all the time I want. Time...time...time enough at last!"

He leans over to lovingly set down two boxes, when his glasses fall off his nose, the lenses breaking on the concrete below. He opens the first pack, and the name "Mantle" slowly reveals itself. But, the man sees only a blur...

"That's not fair. It's not fair at all. There was time now, there was....all the time I needed.

It's not fair, sobbing...."
