Great thread!
Actually, Connors lived to be 71. What I heard growing up in LA is that he had trouble with the curve - don't really know if that was true..my dad told me!LOL. Some of my earliest TV memories is The Rifleman. About 8 years after that show was cancelled a friend and I came across him filming a TV movie on Ventura Blvd. We ducked into a doorway storefront across the street. Soon, between takes, he walked across the street to us and started chatting. "You know, you guys are in the background on film." "Sorry, do you want us to move?" "No, you stay right there".
