I can speed this up a little, what is the highest you can offer? (while not verbatim, I think that is what the OP stated he would ask back of that question to him)

Tough crowd. Those seem like reasonable prices for an iconic and hot card. Good luck with your sale.

He is right when a price is listed it should be up to the potential buyer to make an offer if he wants a discount. For those sellers who refuse to list prices asking for one is reasonable.

Really Jesse? SMR price for a PSA 6 is $5200, he wants $8500 for an off centered card. Also, the hot run of top rookies has mainly been very high graded cards (8's and higher)

VCP shows this last one sold most recently for $15K a few weeks ago, albeit a better centered example:

Baffling Greg, but I saw the card. Perfectly centered, but bad wax stains on the back. SMR price for a 7 is $11,500, this card in a 6 sells for $15K, and PSA adjusts these SMR prices on a regular basis. Does not make any sense at all...

Agreed that most of the run on the rookies has been higher grade, but the Mantle and Mays have always held value well at the lower grades. And SMR? Who looks at SMR for high end cards? It's rarely accurate. A centered 6 just went for 15k. A 7 is sitting at over 19k with a couple of hours left. Not centered. 8k for a 6 will look like a bargain soon.

Fair enough. I'll make this simple mathematics. A PSA 6 Mays (supposedly) sold for $15K. Mantle is worth considerably more than double the SMR price of Mays ($11,500 vs. $5200). I have a PSA 6 Mantle that I would be more than happy to sell for $30K. Please email me for PPal info...

Come on Leon, what exactly are you getting at?? This guy has been a parasite on numerous threads I have made along with a ton of other N54 members. I did what you asked, I made him an offer, of which he has yet to decline....

CMIZE- Seriously? its a b/s/t thread...i dont think its appropriate to comment negatively on b/s/t in most situations...i dont think i said anything in this thread for you to act like juvenile here and talking down a card price, all i did was put an asking price and list a card and you are acting inappropriately here and i think everyone woudl agree

i would think if someone is selling a cards in the 10k range, it would be polite to keep the schoolboy antics in another thread, unless you are schoolboy rowe...

CMIZE is at it again.

Here we go again...everyone was quoting SMR on those green cobbs, and the 1952 Mays, and the 1952 PSA 7.5 banks...people ask why i bring those up..because history continues to repeat itself..i have another wiseguy bring up SMR , which shouldnt even be discussed on b/s/t by the way..

I guess Leon cant ask for more than SMR on this cards either...SMR is the only thing that matters apparently..
