Any given day on ebay there will be 3, 4, or 5 red HINDU's listed. Invariably, these cards will be subjects from the group of T206 cards I have designated as the "Exclusive 12" (460-only series). These 12 red HINDU T206's are more available than the 31 subjects from the 350/460 series. The 350/460 guys are seldom seen on ebay with red HINDU backs. For example(s), the 12 red HINDU cards posted (so far) in this thread include an assortment of 9 guys from the Exclusive 12 group. And only 3 guys from the 350/460 series (2 of which are in the initial post here). So, are red HINDU cards as rare as BROAD LEAF 460, LENOX, or UZIT ? This depends on which T206 series cards that you are referring to......350/460 (perhaps)......460-only (no). TED Z . Last edited by tedzan; 02-29-2016 at 07:50 PM. |

I'm reprising this information for those on this forum who are new to the T206 game.
. ![]() To date, 31 subjects have been confirmed with the red HINDU back in the 350/460 series. Baker Bender (no trees) M. Brown (Chicago) Chance (portrait-yellow) Chase (blue) Chase (dark cap) Cobb (red portrait) Davis (A's) Donlin (bat) Doolan (bat) Dougherty (arm in air) Downey (bat) Larry Doyle (bat) Elberfeld (Washington-fielding) Evers (Chicago-yellow sky) Griffith (bat) Johnson (pitching) Joss (pitching) Kleinow (Boston) Konetchy (glove low) Magee (bat) Murphy (batting) O'Leary (hands on knees) Rucker (throwing) Seymour (throwing) Snodgrass (catching) Stahl (glove) Street (fielding) Sweeney (fielding) Willis (throwing) CYoung (glove) NOTE The BROAD LEAF 460 and the red HINDU cards evidently were printed simultaneously (circa..Fall/Winter 1910), since their fronts coincide (this rule applies only to the subjects in the 350/460 series). 460-only series.....Exclusive 12 These 12 confirmed subjects are the only red HINDU cards in the 460-only series. Furthermore, these 12 appear to be more available with the red HINDU back than the above listed subjects in the 350/460 series. ![]() ![]() Crandall (cap) Devore Duffy Ford Gandil Geyer Hummel McGraw (glove at hip) Pfeffer Sheckard (glove) Tannehill (Chicago) Wheat The following 4 subjects have yet to be confirmed with the red HINDU back. All four are possible with this back. Ames (hands above head) Mathewson (dark cap) McIntyre (Brooklyn & Chicago)) Reulbach (no glove) TED Z . |

Wow, too bad it only graded an A, because that back is really clean.

Many moons ago, I acquired this red HINDU Tannehill. I think it's a sharp-looking card. The TPG's say that a "sharp-edged" device trimmed it......who am I to argue with them ![]() ![]() ![]() TED Z . Last edited by tedzan; 02-29-2016 at 02:29 PM. Reason: Correct typo. |
