Nice scorecards, Ted. Here's a later one from 1884 of Boston's John Morrill from a Beaneaters/Quakers game.

Default 1871 Troy Haymakers Player photo & Scorecard

Pictured here is Philadelphia born John McMullin. A southpaw, he started pitching for Troy in 1870. In 1871, he was the only starting pitcher on the Troy roster.
His 1871 pitching W - L record was 12 - 15 for Troy.

In 1874, as an Outfielder for the Philadelphia A's, John batted .346 in a 55- game season.

Thanks....Rob McK. and Kevin C.

I wish I had more of these cards of the 12 players on the Haymakers' roster.

But, you never know, perhaps someone on this forum will surprise us and post one (or more) of these 1871 cards.

Hi Joe

Thanks for the compliment.

Many years ago, I did see a couple more of these 1871 Photo/Scorecards; but, I don't recall which Troy players were on them.

Take care,

Thanks Graig

And, what is also incredible is your artwork.

The panoramic of Mickey Mantle at bat at Yankee Stadium brings back fond memories of when I was a kid seeing him hit a tremendous HR.
