When he Liquid drop tested it, it absorbed. Proving it was made of paper.

Wish he would have said what the liquid drop test was.

A real drop of water test/damp cloth test does work great to help rule out some type of counterfeits though. I don't know about strip cards but most T cards and almost everything from 1948-present it works great on.

How does this liquid drop test work? I've never heard of it.

I have no idea what the eBay seller is talking about. If you take a wet cloth and rub it on the front of a real card it will do nothing but maybe clean off a little dirt. Now if you do that same thing with a counterfeit card made on most home printers it will almost instantly ruin the card. Putting a drop of water on the card would also ruin most homemade counterfeit cards.

EDIT: I would compare the water test to using a black light. It only works to detect counterfeits/alterations done by amateurs.
