While I have lived and died for the Yankees my whole life (and thats a loooong time), I am from New York and I will root for ANY New York team in any sport to win a championship, so Lets Go Mets!!!!!!!!!! Its not a championship unless a New York team wins it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A shame the Cubbies have their shot this year, but they are not gonna get by the Mets.

In fact, since Yankee Stadium didnt do this, I have a brick on the sidewalk outside of the entrance to CitiField, and it says: THE PROUDEST THING I CAN SAY IS THAT I AM A NEW YORKER FOREVER and it has my name on it. Its an 8"x8" brick, and i was thinking that the last two nites jubulent fans were celebrating on my brick when leaving the stadium!!!!!

There were a few hotties in the crowd that I wish were celebrating on my brick.

There is a fellow on another baseball message board who is a VERY passionate Yankee fan - sometimes too passionate for his own good. He also bought a brick on the Citi Field Fan Walk, and found a way to creatively salute the Yankees. His brick says something to the effect of "Game 5, 2000 World Series - I was there" followed by his name. Game 5 of the 2000 World Series was played at Shea Stadium - and it was that game where the Yankees won the series.

All of the Mets love in NYC feels so phony lately. I'm sure it's just as bad in Chicago, but man. I maybe see 10 people walking around in Mets gear the other 300 days of the year.

It's very true in Wrigley. I'll say and just a guess, but a good guess, and say close to half the stadium is filled with people who were at zero regular season games.

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

True story. My brother who is a "Cubs Fan" hasn't watched a single game this season and hasn't followed baseball at all for about 6-8 years.

Cubs make the playoffs and beat St. Louis and all of a sudden he pops out of nowhere.

Just like a lot of Red Sox fans. The ones I know weren't watching any games this year...............
