Mine is Ruth. For many on this site dropping $3500 for a Ruth is not a big deal, but for me it will be a long time of saving!
And Bob Feller. That one has eluded me for years.

Greg, that is incredible. I would be soooooo excited if that was coming home with me. Congrats.
Congrats to you as well Joey. Nice Aaron. My ultimate white whale would be a Gehrig check or similar.

I've got a couple white whales on my wantlist, a George Gipp signed photo and an immaculate Ty Cobb single signed baseball from his playing days with bold stampings on an OAL ball.

Thanks brent! His Rookie signature seems to be real scarce for some reason. Had to have it!

I'm changing mine.
I have 2 one group and one solo. 1) Completing my signed 1934 goudey set. I think most can be found, but there are a couple I am not so sure exist and the 2 Gehrigs may be cost prohibitive. 2) As a single item, my white whale is a Lou Gehrig day ticket signed by Gehrig.

).Personally, I think it's crazy how some can drop thousands on a signature. I've come to the conclusion that I'm willing to purchase badly faded signatures for much less. I bought a Ruth on a team ball that is probably a 1 or 2 out of 10....it's badly faded, but it's there. And it only cost me about a grand. I can live with that. By the way, my white whale would be a signed ball (team or single) of Cy Young.....hard to find and authenticate those. Last edited by djson1; 07-20-2015 at 12:05 PM. |
